Bridal Show

The Bridal Show today at the Palm Coast Yacht Club was a terrific success. Everyone had a great time. We had Mondo as a DJ. He is a new member of the organization. He had the place rocking with games and drawings for prizes and dancing. Melody greeted the guests with her beautiful harp music. Stephanie of Weddings By Stephanie helped set up the decor of the room and the flowers on the tables and the bouquets were supplied by Blooming Flowers and Gifts. Mr. Chocolate handed out treats to the guests as did the Palm Coast Yacht Club with their delicious appetizers. Miss Flagler County modeled a bridal gown and Junior Miss Flagler County modeled a bride's maid dress. Rev. Gail and Ted of Exceptional Weddings and Exceptional Wedding Supplies did most of the advertising by posting all those signs you've been seeing around town. We had over a hundred brides and their guests come to see what Flagler County has to offer and were pleased with what they saw. The grand prize was a dream wedding at the Yacht Club with all the vendors donating their services. The winning couple, Angel and Angela were thrilled beyond words and hugged each other in disbelief. They had wanted to have their wedding at the Yacht Club but didn't think they could afford it. Now they have that and money left over for a wonderful honeymoon. We wish them all the best as well as all the beautiful brides who attended the show.

Bridal Show update

Due to technical issues, the bridal date has been changed to August 2nd. It was decided that Father's Day might not be the best day to be luring brides away from their families. We had hoped that the dads would come along, but later realized that a bridal show was probably not their priority on their own special day. The location was also moved to the Palm Coast Yacht Club at 1 Yacht Club Drive in Palm Coast.

We have been getting membership requests from business outside our area. Since our membership is limited to vendors who live or work in Flagler County, we cannot even consider these requests however good the vendors might be.

Speaking of new members, we had two guests last night who expressed interest in joining. David, representing the Hampton Inn and Suites, Holiday Inn and Best Western, all in Palm Coast and Kathy, a makeup artist who uses all mineral based makeup and will go wherever the bride is to do the makeup for the big day. Kathy did a makeover on one of our members and the results were beautiful. She even got rid of the bags under Capt. Kirk's eyes and did such a good job that she was immediately voted in. We are glad to see David as well. As we grow in strength as a destination wedding location, we are pleased to be able to offer accomodations to all our couples and their guests in all price levels.

member update

What great weather here in Florida. Couldn't be nicer for a beautiful beach wedding. Bill from Bridals by Agnes checked in and told us he is swamped with weddings and proms. He is working late into the night to fill the orders for his beautiful gowns. His prices are just right too. Bill also has a great selection of tuxedos. You are sure to find just the perfect outfit for your wedding or prom.

Stephanie of Weddings by Stephanie has another very satisfied customer. She completed a wedding last Saturday at the local church. Every detail was pure perfection as usual. Check her blog to see pictures of the happy event.

The Limousines from A Unique Occasion are going full time according to Rod. Again, the prom business is in full swing with weddings going on as well. He has even got his wife doing some of the driving to keep up with all the bookings.

Exceptional Weddings has two weddings coming up this weekend. Gail & Ted report that the Friday's wedding is at the Chapel in the Garden in Port Orange and the Saturday wedding is being held at a private beach house in St. Augustine.

Keith Claybrook at the Palm Coast Yacht Club reports that they are having a busy year and dates are booking up. Mark Dickinson also reports that he is booking up his available dates so if you are looking for exceptional photography give him a call before its too late.

I haven't heard from some of our other members this week but that's probably because they are too busy to write. I know Capt. Kirk of DJ enterprises is always busy between DJ bookings and his radio show and with all the proms Blooming Flowers and Gifts and European Salon and Spa are probably working hard.

Don't forget that monther's day is coming up and what would mom like better than a candy bouquet from Candy Bouquet of course. Gorgeous creations you will not believe until you see them.

Our next meeting is tuesday, June 2nd at 7 PM at the Palm Coast Yacht Club. If you are a local business looking to join our organization, you are welcome to attend. Be prepared to show your wares so to speak in case you decide you want to join. Call Ted at 386-586-0523 for more informaiton.

Two weddings today for Exceptional Weddings. Rev Ted performed the wedding of JoAnn and Sergio at the Oldest House in St.Augustine. His wife Gail assisted the bride and ran the music. They had a beautiful garden wedding in the courtyard. Rev Kirk performed the wedding of Misty and Robert at Castle Otttis in Ponte Vedra Beach. He was assisted by his fiance Jeanine who also assisted the bride and did their music. Both ceremonies were written by Gail who is taking next week off.

What's new

Stephanie of Weddings by Stephanie decorated the Bourbon Street Grill for their Murder Mystery Theater dinner. She made the restaurant look like a wedding was taking place, complete with favors and chair covers. The event was a huge success and the Grill will be having another event very soon.

Exceptional Weddings had two weddings last weekend, Friday and Saturday. They have another two this weekend with Rev. Kirk officiating at one of them because they are both at the same time on the same day.

JoAnne of Candy Bouquet is attending "Balloon College" to learn how to make balloon arches and other balloon decorations. She will be adding this service to her award winning candy bouquets.

The Hilton Garden in has a lovely restaurant which is open to the public. You do not have to be a guest at the hotel to enjoy the delicious meals served there.

Our meeting on Tuesday evening was very productive. We started planning our Bridal Show which will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in June.

Rev. Kirk's wedding

Rev. Kirk Haskell has reported in on the wedding he performed yesterday. He traveled to Fruitland Park for the marriage of Pablo and Katjia. He tells me it was a big wedding with many of the guests flying in from Spain for the event. Rev. Kirk's fiance Jeanine is from Spain and of course speaks fluent Spanish so they felt right at home. A reception was held in a huge tent on the lawn and a great time was had by all.

Busy weekend

Robert and Lisa got married yesterday at Grand Haven in Palm Coast. They used our members Exceptional Weddings for their officiants and A Unique Occasion Limousines for their transportation. They had a great time and they and their guests all said it was a ceremony full of fun and truly represented the personalitites of the couple. In addition, our member Rev. Kirk Haskell did a wedding for Exeptional Weddings because they were booked up. Thanks to Rev. Kirk for filling in. As soon as he gets back to us today I will let you know more about it.

Prom Dresses and Tuxedos

Prom season is rapidly approaching so don't forget to stop by Bridals by Agnes for you prom attire. They are not just for weddings. Agnes and Bill have a good selection of dresses and tuxedos and some really good prices. You can't get better service anywhere than at Bridals by Agnes.

Busy weekend

Gail & Ted of Exceptional Weddings have been very busy lately. Yesterday they met with a couple whose wedding is in June. They met over dinner at Mezzaluna in European Village to discuss the details of their wedding. It was a warm night so they ate outside and listened to the music. Today they met with another couple getting married April 4th, the day after Gail's birthday. They have a wedding on her birthday too. Such dedication! April is a busy month for weddings in Florida. The weather is as perfect as it gets. They have two weddings on Saturday, one at Washington Oaks and one later on the Ginn yacht. Don't forget that Gail and Ted also have Exceptional Wedding Supplies and give a 20% rebate to everyone who orders from them and 30% to brides who book them to do the wedding.

DJ Enterprises

Capt. Kirk is starting up his legends show again. He has great celebrity impersonators who put on an amazing show. You could close your eyes and swear the real person was there. Sometimes you don't even have to close your eyes, just squint a little bit. If you get a chance to go to one of the shows be sure you do so. It is an evening of great fun. Capt. Kirk can make any event a lot of fun. I've seen him get little old ladies to sing karoke with him.

Many of our members have worked with these professionals in the past and we are honored to have them join us in our endeavor to make your wedding planning easier by having everything you need in one place.

Bridal Show

We had a great time at the Belk show today. Capt. Kirk had the place rocking so that even the sales people were dancing in the aisles. Stephanie of Weddings by Stephanie, JoAnn of Candy Bouquet, Bill of Bridals by Agnes, Rev. Ted of Exceptional Weddings and Gail of Exceptional Wedding Supplies were there too. We had short notice so not all of our members could be there. Weekends are our busy days so we can't always make it to a weekend event. But that is good. It means we are busy and that is what we want to be; busy making your event wonderful. It was good to meet with those of you who came down to see us. We are proud of the work we do and like sharing it with you.

wow! Congratulations to Stephanie

WeddingWire, the nation’s leading wedding technology company, just announced that Weddings by Stephanie, Inc. has won the 2009 Bride’s Choice Awards™!

In its inaugural year, the Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes and honors vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. Grand Opening

Another of our members is having a grand opening celebration. Although they have been open for three weeks, the Europa Spa has been getting settled in and is now ready to present their face to the world. The Grand Opening is being held on Sunday, February 8th from one to four PM. Refreshments will be served. Come and meet their European trained staff and be pampered. Bring your honey for an early valentine's gift, or stop by to get a gift card to present on the 14th. There will be special opening day discounts. Don't miss this chance to look and feel your best. You deserve it.

Meeting of the Wedding Professionals

We had a great meeting tonight at the Palm Coast Yacht Club. We voted in two new members: Europa Spa on Old Kings Road Palm Coast and Candy Bouquets on Rte 100 in Bunnell. The Europa Spa offers full service Spa delights from head to toe. Superb European luxury at affordable prices. The Candy Bouquet is the source for the most delightful and imaginative candy creations for bouquets, centerpieces and special gifts. We enjoyed the candy very much at the meeting tonight and you wouldn't believe the variety of flavors. We also had elections of officers and Rev. Ted of Exceptional Weddings was elected President, Jerry of Mr. Chocolate Fountain was elected Vice President. Gail of Exceptional Wedding Supplies was elected Secretary and Stephanie of Weddings by Stephanie was elected Treasurer. The Board of Directors will consist of William of Bridals by Agnes, Rev. Capt. Kirk of DJ Enterprises, JoAnne of Candy Boquet and Leesa of the Perfect Wedding Guide. We missed Rod who couldn't come because he had to be home with the wife and new baby girl. We will all work hard together to create the best weddings ever.

Happy News

Rod and Ally, owners of A Unique Occasion Limousine Service are the proud parents of a brand new baby girl born wednesday night, just two minutes before midnight. I bet she will be keeping her parents up at night for quite some time to come. Best wishes to the new family from all of us at the Wedding Professionals of Flagler County.

Hilton Grand Opening

Just back from the Grand Opening of the Hilton Garden Inn, I am so impressed. First, thanks to the Hilton for using our members for their spectacular event. The flowers were by Blooming Flowers and Gifts, the Chocolate fountain featuring white and milk chocolate with an assortment of fruit, chips, pretzels and marshmallows for dipping was provided by Mr. Chocolate Fountain. A Unique Occasion provided shuttle service to the overflow parking area. The Hilton really knows how to put on a party. A tour of the pool area, business center, board room, banquet hall and four types of accomodations was a highlight of the evening. The food was varied and delicious. The music in the Lobby was provided by violinist Zoriy Zinger and Karen Allen played keyboard and entertained us with her beautiful voice. They have been invited to our next meeting and may be our newest members. Congratulations to the Hilton Garden Inn for their successful opening.

Fairfield Inn and Suites

More good news! I just got word from Sarah Bates at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Palm Coast that they are having their grand opening on February 10th from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. You can see the hotel at http://www.fairfieldpalmcoast.com/. We will all be there so be sure to stop by and say, "Hello." This wonderful new hotel will meet or exceed the needs of your guests who will be coming into town to participate in your special day. See you there.

Hilton Grand Opening

This is great news. The Hilton Garden Inn is having its official ribbon cutting this afternoon. They have been open for a couple of weeks now but today it becomes official. Their restaurant offers delicious menu choices and good sized portions, if you are just looking for a new spot to dine. They have three banquet rooms which open up to one large room so they can accomodate a wedding of two hundred or so guests. Welcome to the neighborhood Hilton Garden Inn.

Welcome to our blog

Welcome. We are the Wedding Professionals of Flagler county. We are based in Flagler County but we work in Volusia, St. Johns, Duval, and Putnam and some of our members venture even further to bring you their services on your special day. Our group was founded a little over a year ago by Rev. Ted and Gail St. Pierre of Exceptional Weddings. They are officiants. They were often being asked to recommend other vendors for Photographers, D.J.s, Flowers, Receptions sites, Spas and everything else needed to make a wedding perfect. Since Flagler County was growing so quickly and so many new businesses were opening every day, they wanted to be sure they were recommending the best. They gathered together a group of professionals they knew and trusted and formed the group. These people in turn brought in other vendors and so the group grew. Although the original group has changed, today we feel we have gathered together a superior collection of wedding professionals who can be trusted to give good service at a reasonablel price. We are constantly monitoring our members to be sure that you are satisfied. Any wedding professional wanting to join must be recommended by another member and must present their services at a meeting before being admitted. We check references and do the work to make sure you won't be disappointed. Our website is www.flaglerweddingpros.com. Stop in and visit and leave the work to us.
